A family-run Italian in the middle of Soho, merrily decorated and ready for Christmas.
Walk into 64 Old Compton Street in December and the whole room is dressed for Christmas, low-lit and welcoming, romantic enough for two and lively enough for a big family or friends table. It has been run by the same family for years, so the welcome is authentic and everyone gets looked after from the moment they sit down.
The food is why people come back. Everything is made fresh, the pasta rolled by hand every single day and the plates brought out loaded and served with a bit of love, the way you will have seen on our TikTok. December fills up fast, so if you want the group in, it is best to get your date booked while the good ones are still going.
Christmas the Italian way
There are three courses for £65 a head, Christmas done the Italian way, and for the traditionalists there is a roast turkey, piled high with all the delicious trimmings: crisp roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, sage stuffing and lashings of gravy. Everything else comes out of our own kitchen cooked from scratch, the pasta rolled fresh that day, and it all finishes on something sweet. Tables are pre-booked so the kitchen is ready for your group when you arrive, and the full spread is on the menu.
Drinks for the table
There is a cocktail list to open the evening with, whatever you are in the mood for, and a wine list to move on to over dinner. It is a great selection, mostly Italian and French, reds and whites chosen to go with the food, and if you cannot decide, the team behind the bar will happily pick for the table.
